Domino’s in the Netherlands has come up with a novel approach to pizza delivery with its new Domino's Delivery Points. Pizza delivery is no longer confined to your home or office in Holland because you don’t need a permanent address, or any address at all to be able to order a pizza delivery from Domino’s Delivery Points service.

The Delivery Points campaign began in Amsterdam’s Vondelpark to coincide with the first week of classes for students starting at Amsterdam’s universities. The Delivery Points are actual solid white doors with standing frames that are placed in parks and beaches. The doors are prominently marked with advertising featuring Domino’s Netherlands phone number and mark the point where a Domino’s delivery person will arrive with your phoned-in order. The doors also feature a bell that the delivery person rings when they show up with your pizza. All you have to do is meet them at the door with some cash, just like at home. Only you’re not at home.

The Domino's Delivery Points is a clever idea and further increases the versatility of pizza delivery to better fit people’s lives. If the Domino’s Delivery Points concept does well in the Netherlands you might be seeing a few white doors standing around in your own neighborhood before too long.
